When we started, our lines were 50p a minute. Today every UK Hot Lips number costs 65p a minute plus your phone company's access charge. Here's how that works.
The service charge
All our numbers start 0982. The service charge is 65p a minute and is the same whichever line you call. You'll hear the price read out at the start of every call, before you're charged anything.
The access charge
On top of the service charge, your phone company adds its own access charge. It's set by them, not us, and is usually listed in your tariff as the charge for 09 numbers. It varies between providers, so it's worth checking.
How long will I be on?
That's up to you. The charge stops the moment you hang up. If you want to keep a lid on spending, decide how long you'll talk before you call. Some phone companies also let you set limits or bar 09 numbers altogether.
Paying by card
If you'd rather not have calls on your phone bill, you can buy talk time by card instead. It works out cheaper per minute, too.
Card talk time is 50p a minute: £10 buys 20 minutes, up to £30 for 65 minutes (5 free). Charged to your card, not your phone bill. 18+ only.
